A delegation from the Gulf Cooperation Council visited Georgia as part of the Ambassadori Island Batumi investment tour

As part of the “Ambassador Island Batumi” investment tour, Georgia hosted comprising representatives of leading development and investment companies from the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The investors conducted site visits across several regions of Georgia, where they familiarized them, and participated in local cultural activities.

Organized and hosted by the Ambassador Island Batumi team, the tour included several high-level meetings. Notably, a significant meeting took place with the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, held within the framework of the Adjara Economic Development Vision event.

The delegation included representatives of well-known companies such as: Asas Makeen Real Estate Development, TAM Group, Capital Club Dubai, Sports District and others.

The main objective of the tour was to fully present the country's economic and tourism potential to investors.

The strong interest demonstrated by the investors reaffirms both the increasing investment potential of Georgia and the hystorical importance of the Ambassador Island Batumi project.

“Ambassadori Island Batumi” - Hospitality Real Estate Project of the Year

"Ambassadori Island Batumi" was awarded the best project of the year in hospitality and real estate at the Welcome to Georgia national tourism award. The nomination recognizes real estate developers who significantly contribute to the infrastructural growth and innovative development of Georgia's tourism and hospitality sector.

At the award ceremony after the victory, Ambassadori Island Batumi CEO Gocha Kamkia spoke about the planned development of the project, noting that 26 hectares of land on the Batumi artificial island have already been put into operation and that construction of two ultra-modern buildings and an unprecedented scale shopping center will soon begin on this territory.

“When we say welcome to Georgia our team members see a whole different map of Georgia, limitless opportunities and literally expanded borders,” noted Gocha Kamkia.

Welcome to Georgia hosted its 10th anniversary awards ceremony this year. 26-hectare land of The Ambassadori Island Batumi has been commissioned

The first phase of the artificial island project in the Black Sea, covering 26 hectares of the western peninsula, has been officially accepted into operation by The Construction and Technical Supervision Agency. The acceptance was based on the expert conclusion from the National Bureau of Expertise of Georgia regarding the project's compliance, which was prepared with the involvement of foreign specialists.

Starting from September 2025, the construction of two ultra-modern, multifunctional buildings is planned on this territory, which will include residential apartments, hotels, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness centers, recreational areas, shopping centers, etc.

Batumi's artificial island represents a unique project aimed at creating two artificial peninsulas and one artificial island in the Black Sea, fully aligned with long-term development principles. Spanning 84 hectares, it opens new investment opportunities for both the country and the region. Since the beginning of construction, the project has been advancing rapidly. A testament to this progress is that Ambassadori Island Batumi is fulfilling its commitments to the state five years ahead of schedule, with 38 out of the total 84 hectares already practically developed.

The project is being implemented by "Ambassadori Group" in collaboration with several prestigious international companies, including the Turkish architectural and engineering company Yüksel Proje and the global British company ARUP, which is involved in urban planning in numerous cities worldwide.

As part of its investment commitments, 49% of the territory of the two peninsulas and the island of "Ambassadori Island Batumi" will be dedicated to publicly accessible recreational areas, including forest parks, walking trails, sports fields, and recreational spaces. Additionally, educational and healthcare institutions, hotels, apartments, residential buildings, villas, helipads, a yacht club, and more will be constructed in the area.

The artificial island, created through collaboration with various international and local companies, will also lay the foundation for a new standard of urban development along the region's coastline, which, alongside the physical expansion of the territory, will change public perceptions of future cities.

Tbilisi State University students visited Ambassadori Island Batumi as part of a research project

As part of a research project, students from the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of Tbilisi State University had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the construction and land development processes of two artificial peninsulas and the artificial island of “Ambassadori Island Batumi.” The project leaders hosted a group of 15 TSU students along with their mentors, providing them with an on-site overview of the ongoing works and formally introducing the students to the project

TSU research project is headed by doctoral student Irma Makalatia. According to her, it is planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation between TSU and "Ambassador Island Batumi", which envisages the involvement of TSU students of the relevant direction, internships and subsequent employment in the works of establishing two artificial peninsulas and an artificial island in Batumi. TSU students will have the opportunity to participate and observe the stability of the coast, sea level variability and ecology. After processing the received materials, students and professors will use the information in scientific articles, dissertations, local and international conferences.

Within the framework of the research project, the field work was mentored by Nodar Tsivtsivadze, Head of the Hydromechanics and Oceanology Laboratory of the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of TSU.

According to the heads of the "Ambassadori Island Batumi" project, the initiative holds significant economic importance for both tourism and the wider region, positioning Batumi—and Georgia as a whole—on the emerging global investment map.

The project is being executed by the "Ambassadori Group" in collaboration with various international partners. "Ambassadori Island Batumi" envisages the creation of two artificial peninsulas and one artificial island spanning 84 hectares in the sea. All works are being carried out in full compliance with the principles of sustainable development and smart city planning.
